Re “Fluoride fiasco” – do some homework.

The Health Service recommends that fluoride in drinking water should remain at 0.7mg/litre.

Levels above 1.5mg/litre are known to increase health risks such as bone fractures, thyroid and nervous system damage.

So why take the risk?

A report from the Office for Science and Society states the arguments aimed at fluoridation are as follows: it increases the risk of some fractures and bone cancer, it does not warrant the cost, and how are we to know the level of fluoride in the water?

It is up to families to take care of their own health; all you need to do is purchase fluoride tablets from your chemist, they are as cheap as chips.

In that way, you are getting the correct dose.

Fluoride can also affect the pineal gland, which is the centre of the brain and fluoride can cause calcification of this gland, which is also known as the third eye.

Most Western European countries have now rejected water fluoridation.

This includes Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland.

It is not worth the risk to leave it up to the council.

It is up to the choice of the individual.
