Lions pre-loved fashions roar

Volunteers at the Gympie Lions Community Op Shop in Mary St Gympie have been busy sorting donated stock in preparation for the spring season.

Op Shop Co-Ordinator and Lions Member, Donna Ross, said that some great stock has arrived over the past few weeks and is making its way to the racks in store right now.

Ms Ross said that all proceeds of the Op Shop are returned to the community and those in need of assistance through illness, disability or hardship.

“We’ve got the lot – ladies, men’s and children’s clothing in all sizes. Some of it in almost new condition and well worth a browse when next in town” she said.

The shop also stocks a large range of donated items including, china, crockery, shoes, jewellery, bric-a-brac, craft and books to name a few.

Lions Christmas puddings and cakes are available all year round as well.

She thanked those who regularly donated items to the shop and invited other community members to consider doing the same with unwanted apparel or small items.

“Unfortunately we are unable to take large items like furniture, tools, plants or electrical goods but welcome most other donations,” she added.

Anyone looking for quality pre-owned items is invited to drop into the Lions Community Op Shop at 73 Mary St Gympie for a browse.
