Beach parking needed early

Once again, we have seen the ignorance of the council and those who don’t stop to think about us, the mundane people.

The parking sign on Griffin Esplanade, Rainbow Beach, states no parking between 11pm and 4am.

For instance, the night’s hot and steaming, hey, let’s take the family and go down to the beach and get some cool breeze, which many have done to escape the heat, oh wait, we can’t.

Hey guys and girls, let’s go down to Rainbow Beach at 2am and do some fishing, oh wait, we can’t because of the parking sign.

As I have stated before, I like to get to the beach at 3am to walk the beach with my best friend to beat the morning heat, can’t do that now can’t afford a fine.

This is inane, taking our democratic freedom of egress.

The parking sign could have read ‘no camper vans,’ ‘no mobile homes’ between 11pm and 4 am, leaving all of us, who obey the law, not punished because of illegal campers.

Cr Jess Milne and the council have shown their true colours, and in the last few days, talking to locals has finally put the last nail in her coffin.

You will be voted out at the next election to the delight of shop owners and Rainbow Beach public, and Mayor Glen Hartwig, please get the parking sign changed lest you feel the wrath of the locals.
