Gympie and Maryborough Greens

I am 93 years of age and do not have much time for any political party at this time in our history.

Common sense has deserted them as they all have a hidden agenda.

Wind factories are ugly and a blight on our landscape; they need baseload power to start, they kill our bird life, and the continual noise is harmful to mankind.

I do not believe in climate change the way you portray it; it is a fear campaign.

Mother Earth has been changing her weather patterns since time began.

You very well know we only produce just over one per cent of the world’s carbon dioxide, and all you are doing is creating higher electricity prices.

Electricity will never be cheaper with renewables, as they have to be replaced, and where are you going to dump the waste?

Sure, the days are hot and we have disasters, but haven’t we always experienced this in Australia?

I grew up in Biggenden, and believe me, it was just as hot then as it is now.

Do you ever read the reports by eminent scientists who speak the truth?

The ideological garbage that parties speak today is only to divide us as a great nation and cause havoc.

Just look at the results in this country today.

It breaks my heart.

You know only too well that China and India are the main culprits.

China is opening a coal-fired power plant at the rate of one per week.

Sure, they have solar and turbine factories to appease the world, but buy our coal for manufacturing the renewables and to produce their military weapons.

Also, it is a fact that at this time in history, coal is the cheapest source of power, and we have plenty in the ground for the next 100 years, and carbon emissions are practically nil with the introduction of the catalytic converters, now being used by Japan.

All you are doing if you continue with this nonsense is to ruin the economy of this great nation, as there will be no manufacturing here – it will all go overseas.

Wake up!

All the world needs to do is plant more trees and then more trees, as they convert the carbon to oxygen.

All you want to do is tear down our beautiful forests for wind factories.

You know how long it has taken Mother Earth to give us this bountiful country, and you want to rip it up for wind turbines.

Shame on you.

– S. Hansen,

Gympie
