A top-quality yarding of 2242 cattle at Sullivan Livestock’s first weaner sale for 2023 met spirited competition throughout.

Quality Simmental x steers from Trent Stanton, Goomeri made $4.32 to return $1453 and $1314.

Simmental x steers from Darren Parker, Windera made $4.50 ($1401).

Kelvin Schroeder sold Simmental x steers for $4.14 ($1351), while his Charbray steers made $4.38 ($1454) $4.82 ($1246) and $4.76 ($1202).

Darren Clem sold Charbray steers for $4.54 ($1478 and $1468).

Quality Charolais x steers from Riversleigh Pastoral “Burnside” Woolooga sold to a top of $4.70 ($1391 and $1303).

T1Y “Brooya Station” Woolooga sold 101 good quality F1 Charbray steers for $4.88 to return $1368, $1361, $1213 and $1201.

Charbray steers from The Davies family made $4.28 and $4.40 ($1388 and $1291).

Charolais x steers from Ian and Sharon Brown, Thinoomba, made $4.80 to return $1186.

Droughtmaster steers from Riversleigh Pastoral sold for $4.68 to return $1321, $1292 and $1201.

Santa x steers from Sandalwood Cattle made $4.46 ($1312).

R & A Bambling, Sexton sold Droughtmaster steers for $4.48 ($1283).

Brangus steers from Cinnabar made $4.98 and $4.64 ($1348 and $1153).

Angus x steers from the Davies family made $4.48 ($1302).

Light Charbray steers from the Sweet family Cootharaba made $5 per kg to return $1032.

Charolais x heifers from Riversleigh Pastoral, Woolooga sold for $3.56 ($1160 and $1023) and $3.80 ($983).

Charolais x heifers from Manumbar Station made $3.40 ($990).

Quality F1 Charbray heifers from T1Y Woolooga made $3.40 ($873, $876, $838 and $802).

Generally better quality weaner heifers sold from $3.15 to $3.56.

While the second run of heifers sold from $2.52 to $2.96.
