Glastonbury Road has been officially rated just 1-Star for safety by AusRAP – the lowest possible score.
That’s not just a number.
It means danger every time locals get behind the wheel.
Drivers know the reality: shoulders too narrow, intersections that put lives at risk, and a road that’s been left in poor condition for too long.
Already, more than 330 people have signed a petition calling on the Queensland Parliament to bring Glastonbury Road up to a safe standard.
This is not a luxury.
It is a basic matter of road safety.
I urge every Gympie resident to support the petition now open on the Queensland Parliament’s website – just search “Fix Glastonbury Road.”
