Well, the dust has settled on another iconic Muster Cup Race Meeting.
And what a day it was!
The weather was perfect, the race fields large and competitive, and there was a huge, happy crowd in attendance.
I think there were probably close to 500 in the Nolans’ Meats hospitality marquee.
They comprised clients from all over Queensland and even other states.
It is a great annual boost not only for local racing but for the Gympie economy.
The Fashions on the Field attracted some high-quality entrants who would not have been out of place at Flemington on Cup Day.
And it was good to see locally trained horses winning three of the five races run.
Congratulations to Nolans, the Turf Club, and all the volunteers whose combined efforts produced another highly memorable race day.
