Well said

Well said, John Allen, in your brief but punchy letter, ‘For the love of god’ in last week’s Gympie Today.

So sad, as you pointed out, that little Elizabeth Struhs died in Toowoomba because of the crazy religious convictions of her parents and their friends in lunacy.

They cut off her necessary medical support and left her to the healing, but sadly unavailing, hands of God.

And well said for calling out the nonsensical claim by Donald, master of the duck, who claimed to be saved ‘by the almighty God’.

He was, of course, saved by the poor (or brilliant) marksmanship of the shooter who merely nicked his ear instead of…

Naturally the media, led by the Murdoch press, made him some sort of Captain Marvel—Mister Indestructible.

As you pointed out, Kamala Harris has breathed some hope into the cause of the Democrats and, indeed, democracy worldwide.

I was pleased to see her go straight on to the front foot and point out that in her long career in the law she had come to know fraudsters, abusers and exploiters of women and convicted felons and that therefore she KNEW Donald Trump.

It was the first bit of reality I had seen on TV in weeks.

Merv Welch,

The Palms.
