Each year St Vincent de Paul assists Gympie families with the expenses involved in providing the resources for their sons and daughters in getting them ready for the school year.

This year we were able to assist over 130 families, attending almost all the state, Catholic, and private schools, both Primary and Secondary in the Gympie Council region.

We would like to acknowledge and thank the local businesses that we used during this period.

The level of customer service we experience and the genuine cooperation we find among the local staff make our task so much easier.

We would like to thank our stationery suppliers; Kingston’s Office National and NEXTRA; our shoe stores; Williams, Spendless, and Sportspower; and our suppliers of uniforms and other essentials; Big W, Lowes, Best and Less, and Strandbags.

Congratulations on your understanding and pleasant service to our companions, some of whom are doing it tough at the moment.

It means so much to know that the families we send to you will be treated with respect.

We have had a number of families report back to us how friendly and helpful the staff were in meeting their needs.

We would also like to acknowledge the help we receive from various P&C uniform shops, school secretaries, and also from Struddys, the Gympie State High uniform supplier.

This year, through the generosity of a local donor, we have been able to provide laptops for a number of students going into Year 7.

We have used the three local Computer shops; Kingsway Computers, PC Place and Gold City Computers.

Thank you all for going above and beyond to provide us with devices at a good price and to guarantee ongoing service to the families.

Again great service.

Thank you all.

Your customer service helps to make Gympie the great community it is.
