Speak up

I applaud L. Pethick for his opinion in the Gympie Today.

I am in despair at how our Government is allowing thousands and thousands of people flying into our country to remain as refugees – mostly without being properly assessed.

Just take a look at what is happening on the streets today.

These fly ins get treated with kid gloves, somewhere to live, welfare, access to all medical etc. more than our own people doing it tough, families living in tents and cars and going hungry.

We need to address this madness, stop immigration now, until we meet the needs of our own citizens.

Charity begins at home.

The majority of people arriving in our country today have the allegiance to our way of law and order and dare to bring their woes onto our streets.

How dare they.

If they are so concerned for their country, what are they doing here?

Why are they not back in their own country fighting their own cause.

We are told we have the best multi-cultural society in the world.

Not any more.

The Australian way I know has gone forever.

The early immigrants who came to Australia adopted this country, working hard and stood side by side with us through thick and thin,

This Government of the day is all about division in every facet of our lives, believe me you have seen nothing yet, they are out to strip us of our own Australian identity.

Today we are being made to feel ashamed of our country values.

We must move forward united in our values or we are doomed.

God help us.

I think what did our young man die for in the past wars – not what this left wing Government is implementing.

The Government is paid for by you and I, we the people.

How dare they fund millions to causes overseas, while we have needs for housing, cost of living, our own people, some starving, living on the street and families living in their cars, it’s an utter disgrace.

Enough is enough.

We the people are too complacent – “She’ll be right mate“ is simply not working.

It’s time to stand up and speak up before it is too late.

Don’t sit on your hands, voice your opinion, before we lose our freedom of speech.

S. Hansen,

Gympie.
