She doesn’t even go here

When we received word that ambulance ramping figures for Gympie Hospital hadn’t been released since December last year, I was irked.

Then, when it was revealed that 31 per cent of ambulances at Gympie Hospital were being ramped in December (nearly a third of all ambulance patients), I was dismayed.

But then, when I sought comment from the Health Minister’s office on the situation, I was cheesed right off.

Why?

The office sent an audio file of the new Minister at a 20 minute long press conference in Bundaberg.

Bundaberg is Wide Bay HHS, not Sunshine Coast HHS, which is where we are.

And, to add salt into the wound, the press conference was to award contracts for a brand new hospital in Bundaberg, which, to my mind already has an adequate hospital.

Wow.

How insensitive could you possibly be?
