I came across this Anzac tribute in the Sydney Morning Herald on 25/04/23, I was curious about the birth in Gympie.
Although the lady died in Brisbane in 1936, her history and deeds were interesting despite only living 46 years.
She was very young when she went to war in 1915.
Does any reader know more about “Queenie” Avenell?
