Pinched by fuel prices

It’s been a few days since the fuel excise ended, and I’m sure a lot of us are feeling the strain already. As a commuter, I can relate to the pain of filling up your tank sometimes twice a week just to get to work.

As the cost of living continues to rise, the added twenty-something cents to the litre is sure to be very noticed in the weekly budget many of us try to follow come payday.

According to Federal Treasurer Jim Chalmers, due to the unpredictable nature of the war in Ukraine, it will be difficult to predict just how high or low fuel prices will go.

Earlier in the week, some petrol stations had already jacked up their prices to nearly $2.00.

Buckle up Gympie, I think we’re in for an expensive one.
