Small and medium businesses are the backbone of the economy, and their success is often due to long hours, hard work, sacrifices, grit, and resilience.
At the Gympie Chamber of Commerce, the team of volunteers who are also business operators understands the hurdles that local businesses face.
They are here to offer the support and guidance businesses need.
They are all in this together, and they are committed to helping their local operators navigate difficult times and celebrate great ones.
For Small Business Month, the Chamber is hosting a business breakfast with keynote guest speaker Dominique Lamb, Queensland Small Business Commissioner, on Friday, 9 May. Dominique has a reputation as an inspiring, engaging leader who is passionate about enhancing the operations of small businesses.
Event sponsor Tracey Oostenbrook will also introduce the Gympie Careers Pathways Program, a Queensland Government School to Work initiative dedicated to supporting students to take the next step from school.
To round out the morning, there will be a Q&A Panel of small business winners from the 2024 Gympie Business Award.
The breakfast is an opportunity for attendees to make new connections and build on existing opportunities.
Attendees can start their day with inspiration, information, and interaction.
This Better Local Business Grant-funded event is a part of Queensland Small Business Month and is proudly supported by the Queensland Government.
Thanks to the funding for this event, the ticket price is subsidised and is just $15 for members and $25 for non-members.
Tickets can be booked at gympiechamber.com.au/events.
