Police are seeking information and assistance in relation to an incident that occurred between 3.15pm and 4pm on Wednesday, March 27.
Police are requesting any information or dash cam footage in relation to an incident on Tin Can Bay Road, near the Gympie Connection Road intersection where a police vehicle was damaged by a 2022 white Mitsubishi Triton dual cab utility with no registration plates.
The vehicle has since departed that location at speed and was last observed in the North Deep Creek area a short time later and before it was found abandoned in bushland.
An ATV was also observed to be travelling along the roads in the area and is believed to be linked to this incident.
Gympie detectives wish to speak to any person who may have dashcam or security camera footage that may assist in the identification of the vehicle and the offenders.
