Gun waving leads to 19 B&E, drugs, weapons charges

A man seen with a rifle on 26 February at an East Deep Creek Address, has a 38-year-old man facing multiple break and enter, weapons and drugs charges.

Police have charged the man with 19 offenses after police executed a search warrant at the address and found ammunition, firearms, yard equipment and tools, and drugs and utensils.

Some of the property seized is believed to have been stolen and linked to previous offences and a number of firearms, yard equipment, and tools have now been returned to their rightful owners.

The man has been charged with four counts of entering a premises and committing a crime, three counts of unlawful possession of a weapon, two counts of possessing tainted property, three counts of receiving tainted property, four counts of breaching bail conditions, and one count each of unlawfully possessing explosives, possessing dangerous drugs and possessing utensils.

The man has been remanded to reappear in the Gympie Magistrates Court on 18 March.
