HomeA most important day

A most important day

Gympie Quota club President Noela Reisenleiter welcomed all the guests that attended the International Women’s Breakfast at the Southside Bowls Club on Friday 8 March.

President Noela Reisenleiter alongside her introduction also added that the day marked the global celebration of the social, economic and political achievements of women around the world.

The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women’s equality.

Guest speaker for the International Women’s Breakfast was Jules Degado who recounted her life’s experiences, speaking especially of her service in the Royal Australian Air Force where the experience of being female led to many challenges.

A gift was presented to Jules for her support for the Gympie Quota club’s annual International Women’s Day Breakfast and sharing her valuable insights and experiences.

The International Women’s Day theme for 2024 was Count her In: Invest in Women, with points in accelerating progress on an individual basis because it is important to understand, value and seek the inclusion of women and girls.

Guests to the event were served a hot breakfast by the Gympie Bowls club’s ladies with a wrap up of raffles and lucky door prizes at the conclusion of the morning.

The executive and members of the Gympie Quota club would like to thank all supporters and attendees for the successful morning
