Christmas busier than ever

Carols on the Stage at Christmas in the Park last year.

After a massive turnout in 2022, Gympie’s Christmas in the Park team is busier than ever making final preparations for this year’s event on Saturday, 16 December.

Christmas in the Park, which is organised and hosted by the Gympie Minister’s Network, will be held at Nelson Reserve in Gympie.

The afternoon activities will include rides, jumping castles, laser assault, petting zoo and Christmas markets from 4pm.

The kids can also meet Santa between 5 and 6.30pm.

For a quieter space, be sure to check out the CCC Sensory Play area, along with the Petting Zoo and Kids Craft Bar.

Afternoon entertainment will include performances from Southside Gospel Revue, Chordless, The Smashing Bumpkins, Focus on Dance, Dance Plus and Just Dance.

Gold Sponsor Gympie RSL will also have the RSL Choir featured in the Carols program.

The Combined Churches band kick off the Carols program at 7pm and celebrations will finish with a festive firework display around 8.25pm.

Street Food will be available throughout the entire event so people can enjoy delicious treats while relaxing on the grass watching the entertainment.

The Christmas in the Park team is very grateful for the continued support and sponsorship from Gympie Today, Gympie Regional Council, Gympie RSL, Kingdom Financial, Cooloola Christian College, Gympie Party World, Polleys Coaches, Tom Grady Rural Supplies & Real Estate, BEING Chiropractic and Energex.
