FRIDAY 21 June

*Kid’s Learn to Sew – Beginner*

Head along to the Gympie Library from 3.30pm for the third instalment in a four-week course and learn the basics of sewing. You will have the opportunity to complete a new project each week. Rainbow Beach Art Group

Here’s your chance to join other writers in practicing and honing your literary skills. Social Badminton

Head along to the James Nash Sports Hall (Alenola Street entrance) from 6.30pm to try your hand at social badminton. All levels of age and experience are welcome. *Mad Science*

Long Flat Dance

Armchair Travellers – Antalya, Turkey

This Turkish city is located in a fertile coastal plain at the foot of the Taurus Mountains. It entices you with a mix of beautiful long beaches and traditional Turkish culture. The old town is especially worth a virtual sightseeing. Admire the famous Hadrian’s Gate, which was built for Roman Emperor Hadrian’s visit and is still the only preserved city gate today. And do you know the landmark of Antalya? It is the 13th Century Yivli Minare Mosque with its minaret visible from afar.
