TUESDAY 18 June Tin Can Bay Art Group The Tin Can Bay Library is calling all artists, between 10am-12pm to join them to share work and ideas and connect with artists in the community. FRIDAY 14 June

*Kid’s Learn to Sew – Beginner*

Head along to the Gympie Library from 3.30pm for the second instalment in a four-week course and learn the basics of sewing. You will have the opportunity to complete a new project each week. These sessions will inspire creativity and build life-long basic skills while having fun at the same time. Suitable for ages 8-12 years. Spaces are limited so booking is essential on 5481 0589.

Queensland’s Sugar King: The Zammit Legacy

In this extraordinary rags-to-riches story, an illiterate and impoverished Maltese immigrant rises from destitution to become Queensland’s ‘Sugar King’. Join author Catherine Smith at the Gympie Library between 10-11am as she shares a look into the journey of Paul and Pauline Zammit and how they helped to shape the history of the state. Catherine was born in Gympie in 1961 and is a graduate of the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, Brisbane College of Advanced Education, James Cook University, Victorian University and Deakin University. 3D Printer Introduction

Want to try 3D Printing but thought it looked too hard? Then come to one of our free learn-to-print sessions at the Gympie Library on the second Friday of every month at 10am. We will teach you how to design your own 3D model and then turn it into a real-life object that you get to keep. Spaces are limited so booking is essential. AA Zoom Meetings

Social Badminton

Head along to the James Nash Sports Hall (Alenola Street entrance) from 6.30pm to try your hand at social badminton. All levels of age and experience are welcome. Sustainable Saturdays – Homemade Cheese Making

Long Flat Dance

Goomboorian Hall Markets

The Goomboorian Memorial Hall Markets are a fundraising market for the hall committee, held on the Second Saturday of every month, from 7am-midday. Stalls cost $5. Call Pam for more information on 5486 5317.

Gympie Camera Club

Gympie QCWA

The Gympie QCWA get together to meet every Wednesday. But, depending which week it is, it will be either a Meeting (1st), Craft Day (2nd and 4th) or Coffee Date (3rd). If the month contains a Fifth Wednesday, catch up with the ladies to finish your UFOs or Unfinished Objects. There are also other chapters around the Gympie region that meet on different days. Learn Scottish Country Dancing
