Sal Monella and Melony Brests will be hosting Drag Queen Bingo this weekend in Rainbow Beach. This event will NOT be suitable for children.

FRIDAY 19 April

Live Music

Head along to the Rainbow Beach Sports Club from 6pm to listen to great live music by great local artists. This week, Cool Lula will be playing.

*Kids Learn to Sew – Beginner*

Join us at the Gympie Library at 3.30pm over four weeks as we as we teach you the basics of sewing. You will have the opportunity to complete a new project each week. Gympie VIEW Club

The Gympie VIEW Club ladies conduct a lunch meeting at the Gympie Bowls Club, Bowlers Drive, Southside on the third Friday of every month. Cricut makes it easy to create something unique in a flash. Writing Friday

Here’s your chance to join other writers in practicing and honing your literary skills. Whether your interest is in writing novels, short stories, non-fiction or poetry, or gaining better marks for your assignments, Writing Friday will provide a regular opportunity to write, learn and enjoy the company of like-minded people. Sessions are held at the Gympie Library at 10am on the third Friday of each month.

Head to the Goomeri or Kilkivan Libraries between 9.30-10am each week for an enjoyable session of stories with an emphasis on fun! This is an interactive program for pre-schoolers and is suitable for ages 3-5 years. Bookings essential on 5481 0859.

SATURDAY 20 April

Live Music

Head along to the Rainbow Beach Sports Club from 6pm to listen to great live music by great local artists. This week, Joel Mak will be playing.

Drag Queen Bingo

Grab your sequined gowns and fake eyelashes, for a bingo night unlike any other at the Rainbow Beach Sports Club. Join host Melony Brests and her little helper Sall Monalla for a night of hilarity and 18+ humour – and some bingo. Tickets cost $25 with bingo books additional. Sustainable Saturdays – Saving Water

There are many ways gardeners can use water wisely to maintain a healthy garden. On average, we use just over one-third of our household water in our gardens. By saving water, we increase the wellbeing of the plants and animals that rely on our shared water resources. Long Flat Dance

Gympie QCWA

The Gympie QCWA get together to meet every Wednesday. But, depending which week it is, it will be either a Meeting (1st), Craft Day (2nd and 4th) or Coffee Date (3rd). If the month contains a Fifth Wednesday, catch up with the ladies to finish your UFOs or Unfinished Objects. There are also other chapters around the Gympie region that meet on different days. Learn Scottish Country Dancing

Scottish Country Dance is not Highland dancing but gentle movements to Scottish music to exercise the body and mind. The group meets every Wednesday at the Girl Guides Hall in Shanks Street.
