Long Flat Dance

AA Recovery Group
If you or someone you know has developed a drinking problem, you may want to consider calling one of the following people. There are no dues or fees for AA membership – the only requirement is a desire to stop drinking. The recovery group meet at 4.30pm in the Uniting Church Hall, 15 Red Hill Rd, Gympie. Curra Oval Markets
It’s their first birthday this weekend – with the Curra Oval Markets officially one year old! The Curra Oval Markets are held in front of the Curra Community Hall in David Drive, Curra on the second Saturday of every month, from 7am-midday. Goomboorian Hall Markets

Community Koala Forum
Come along to learn all about conservation and studying our endangered koalas and how to help the species and their habitat. Hear from experts in their fields. The Koala Forum will be held at the Imbil Showgrounds Hall in Edward Street Imbil, from 10am to 2pm. Lunch and refreshments provided – RSVP to secretary@kagr.org.au or send them a message to the Koala Action Gympie Region Facebook page with your name and email address. This is a free event, but RSVPs are most welcome for catering purposes.

Parkinson’s Support Group Gympie
The Gympie Parkinson’s Support Group meets on the second Monday of every month. Parkinson’s disease is a disorder of the nervous system. It results from damage to the nerve cells that produce Dopamine, a chemical that is vital for the smooth control of muscles and movement. Their next meeting is Monday at 10am in the Graham Street Indoor Bowls Hall. The group is a friendly, supportive group and happy to welcome new members. The Gympie QCWA get together to meet every Wednesday. But, depending which week it is, it will be either a Meeting (1st), Craft Day (2nd and 4th) or Coffee Date (3rd). The Lions Club of Gympie will host their Community Morning Tea at 10am on the second Thursday of every month at the Senior Citizens Centre in Mellor Street, Gympie. U3A Gympie is a community organisation that promotes healthy aging through the sharing of educational, creative and leisure activities. There will be lots of interesting and informative classes. New and continuing members are invited to sign on at the new U3A Office located in the Reg English Tennis Centre, 35 Cartwright Road.
