Carols in the Park for Tin Can Bay

The Tin Can Bay Community Church held a memorable and fun Carols in the Park on Sunday to celebrate the start of the start of the Christmas season.

Everyone joined in the Christmas Carols and a visit from Santa on a fire truck was a thrilling addition to the fun.

The Tin Can Bay Lions club ran the sausage sizzle and hamburger stand and word is they were delicious!

The church was able to raise $800 from the event which they donated to the Tin Can Bay School chaplaincy program plus another $300 from the sale of glow sticks to added the total.

Six year old Freddy said “It was a really fun night and I loved when Santa came in a fire truck!“

His mum Tineka loved the event and said, “Our local carols is a fabulous annual community event.“

“We thoroughly enjoy spending time with family and friends, and getting into the festive spirit.“

With Santa giving out bags of lollies to the kids and some lucky adults too, it was the icing on the cake and all claimed it was the perfect way to kick

off school holidays and enjoy each others company.
