Fireworks at Rainbow again New Years Eve!

If you are trying to decide what to do this New Years Eve, how about a day on the beach, a BBQ or picnic and then stay for the fireworks display!

The Rainbow Beach Commerce and Tourism association is excited to announce they have received a grant from the Gympie Regional Council to host fireworks again this year!

The fireworks will be held at 9pm on Saturday 31 December 2022 in front of the Rainbow Beach Surf Club and organisers say if it’s as good as last year, it will be spectacular!

While hospitality venues in the town are being encouraged to stay open longer to cover the event, there is unlimited space for picnics and free BBQs in the parks overlooking the beach to cook up a feed before the show starts.

The local butcher, fruit shop, IGA and SPAR will be open to pick up your supplies all day Saturday so you can prepare a fresh feast to go in the esky and a picnic blanket and some fold up chairs.

The Chamber is extremely grateful to the council for granting this funding for the community to celebrate the start of the New Year!
