Rainbow Beach and Gympie residents were shocked and saddened this month to hear the news that Mick (Parrot) Hutchinson passed away on 17 November 2022.
Parrot, as he has always been known, was a friend to all from his days playing for Wanderers Football Club in Gympie to his more recent life at Rainbow Beach driving the Rainbow Beach Sports Club courtesy bus.
Everyone who knew and loved Parrot is invited to attend the scattering of his ashes at 8am on Sunday 4 December at Lawrie Hanson Park and to watch the board riders take Parrot on his final surf laying him to rest amongst the currents of his beloved Rainbow Beach.
After the ceremony, everyone is invited to the Rainbow Beach Sports Club from 11am to join his family and friends to share his favourite memories, stories and to laugh and cry while remembering a wonderful man who will be greatly missed.
