Cooloola Coast GP will keep invaluable service to the region

Changes to management of Cooloola Coast General Practice will not change the service the practice provides, according to new Practice Manager Ian Lumsdaine.

The practice will continue to operate seven days a week and be bulk billed for now with ten GP’s working across the three locations.

Ian said meetings are being held with staff and medical practitioners, ensuring the best parts of the practice are continued and they will look to make improvements as and when they identify them.

Practice Director, Peter Marriott said he appreciated the work done by Tony and Sandy Brangan to get the business to where it is today and wish them all the best in their future endeavours.

The practice has clinics in Cooloola Cove, Tin Can Bay and Rainbow Beach and welcomes new patients to all three practices.

Ian said each practice has different demands with Rainbow Beach receiving a lot of tourists who visit with cuts, scrapes, sunburn, or injuries sustained during their holiday whereas Cooloola Coast and Tin Can Bay practices see more local patients.”

Residents of the Cooloola Coast region are extremely grateful for the opportunity to have good health care at their fingertips after many years of having to travel to see a GP.

Ian said, “We will strive to continue to give the best service possible to our locals and visitors and look forward to making the practice even better than ever.”
