The Professionals Real Estate team in Gympie are all for charity. Last Friday 5 August, it was National Jeans for Genes Day, and the Professional team went all in with decorations, donation jars, cupcakes and of course, jeans. Held every year, Jeans for Gene’s Day focuses on finding cures for children affected by genetic conditions, through raising awareness and collecting donations.
Senior Property Manager Renee Wilton said charity work is a great way to not only promote a worthwhile cause, but it also brings the team closer together.
“We’re all parents and it’s a nice community initiative,” she said.
“Everyone has baked cupcakes, so when people come in they can have a cupcake and it gets the conversation happening about it.
“It keeps us together as a team, because we’re parents and everybody appreciates the hard times as well as the good times.”
However that’s not the only charity on the list. Red Nose Day and Daffodil Day are both coming up in August, and Ms Wilson said they’re going to participate in all of them.
“We’re going to do all of them,” she said.
“We also do the Pink Breast Cancer Awareness that’s actually part of the Professionals group.
“In October we will have another – it’s Pink Ribbon Day.”
