60th Dinner planned for Gympie Lions

The Board of the Lions Club of Gympie are well on the way with their planning of the Club’s 60th Anniversary Dinner.

Club President, Glenn Williams said that the Club has a proud history of service to the Lions Organization and to the Gympie Community since it was chartered on 28 October 1961.

The dinner will be held at the Gympie Bowls Club on Saturday 30 October.

“We are planning to serve a three course dinner, and have memorabilia and entertainment to celebrate this important milestone in the Club’s history,” Mr Williams said.

“We will be inviting all current and past members and their partners as well as members from other Clubs and the Lions executive.”

He went on to say that numbers will capped at one hundred due to the current Covid restrictions and that anyone interested in attending or needing more information should immediately register their details with the club secretary via email at gympielions@gmail.com to avoid disappointment.
