A spokeswoman for the Sunshine Coast region of Queensland Health has confirmed there is ’absolutely no truth’ to rumours there is currently contract tracing occurring at Gympie Hospital from a suspected Covid-19 case.
“It is incorrect, there is no basis for contract tracing at Gympie,“ the spokeswoman said this morning.
The spokeswoman said the community should continue social distancing and safe hygiene practises and self-isolate if they have any symptoms, no matter how mild, to continue to safeguard the community.
The Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service sent out a media release on Tuesday saying that seven nurses deployed to Victoria to help staff Covid-19 testing clinics have now returned after completing their quarantine and are healthy and virus-free.
