Excitement is building at the Rainbow Beach State School now that the official word has come that a kindergarten has now been approved and will
start in 2022.
Registrations are now open and you can contact the school to book your child in to be a member of the inaugural kindy class of 2022.
A departmental spokesperson said: “It is a great time to ensure kindy is the next step in your child’s early learning journey.“
“Kindergarten is where children continue their love of learning. A place where your little one will make friends, explore new environments, build confidence and have fun learning.“
They said Kindy offers meaningful experiences and interactions that support your child’s early learning, wellbeing and development, now and into the future and kindy counts for a lifetime.
“Our State Delivered Kindergarten program is a place where children can explore new environments and have fun learning with friends, take part in play-based learning, expand their physical abilities, build their confidence and enhance their social skills.
Kindy also builds lifelong skills that will benefit your child well into their future.
Some of the local parents with kindy aged children, met this week to discuss the program with Principal Steve Bennett and find out information about eligibility and age requirements.
The school plan to hold another meeting for any parents who weren’t able to attend this week but urge you to register your interest now.
Talk to the Rainbow Beach School Principal Steve Bennett about the new kindy program by phoning 5486 9333 or drop into the school reception.
