We’ve got a full dance-card

Something that “gets up my goat”, as Kath Day-Knight would say, is when I hear someone exclaim, “Nothing happens in Gympie!”

This weekend is just a taste of what is shaping up to be a huge couple of months for the Gympie region.

The Gympie Rotary Heritage Makers Fair claims to be the largest event of its kind in Queensland, showcasing more than 60 artisan crafts.

Then there’s the Wheels on Mary event, designed to coincide with the Australian Rally and Rally Queensland Championships.

The Showgrounds will have the Rally Village, a Show ‘n’ Shine, and a barbecue competition.

Plus, out at Wolvi is the Blues Hall Boogie, where you’ll hear world-class blues and roots music.

Then later in the month is the Mary River Festival, the Mary Valley Art Festival, and then in August, is the Muster!

Surely there’s something in that list that appeals to you and your family?
