Uncertain times

It’s hard not to think the world has gone to pot with the craziness that has ensued so far this year.

The deadly Californian bushfires, the dreadful flooding in the North, Trump and his team of perpetual destabilisers…

And now, Tropical Cyclone Alfred, who, I can safely say is more capricious than a tiger with a toothache.

It’s erratic path down the east coast has the south east quaking in their boots, something we this far south haven’t experienced for nigh on 50 years, I think I read somewhere.

Alfred’s movements have been harder to pick than a broken nose and as a result, people in the region don’t know what to expect.

I’ve thought about doing my usual trick, which is flying by the seat of my pants, but in this instance, all I will achieve by that is to draw an uneasy comparison between me and the Wicked Witch of the West…
