Owner of Highland Hideaway Farm Tour, Ashleigh Rimmington was thrilled with the public’s reaction to their open day and launch last weekend.
“We are so excited to say it was a huge success,” Ashleigh said.
“We welcomed families from all over the region on the weekend for our inaugural Highland Hideaway Farm Tour.
“Both days over the weekend were sold out.
“It was truly touching to see the younger generation show such an interest in learning about farm animals,” she said.
“Teaching respect and kindness to the future generation of farming is a true pleasure.”
Ashleigh and her family were featured in an article recently by Gympie Today’s own Erle Levey, where the sustainable farming practices undertaken by Highland Hideway were explored in greater depth.
“By connecting participants with the animals and processes that sustain the farm, these tours foster a deeper understanding of responsible agriculture and inspire a love and respect for animals,” Ashleigh said.
“The hands-on experience encourages a lasting commitment to eco-friendly practices and a stronger bond with the natural world.”
Those who visited the farm over the two days expressed their pleasure at the experience.
“We were pleasantly surprised at the fantastic response and enthusiasm of our visitors,” Ashleigh said.
“We’ve had great participants who thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience with some loving the baby piglets the most, others the baby sheep and some fascinated by the highland cattle and their individual personalities.”
Ashleigh said the farm also has some festive season special events planned, as we near the Christmas season, and said she can’t wait to welcome new visitors.
“We are truly blessed to share our passion with participants and can’t wait to open the gates for future guests,” she said.
