“Anything goes at the Muster”, is what Casey Barnes told me.
I honestly can’t help but agree with him, in the greatest way possible.
‘Koalas’ were selling raffle tickets, Toy Story’s Woody and Jesse made an appearance, wedding proposals were made but most importantly there were the electric performances from a range of wildly talented musicians.
The kindness from each and every artist I met, sharing in the love of music, the love of the festival and of course, the warm and welcoming community that makes the festival what it is, made me proud to be a part of it.
Volunteers, Musicians, Punters, every single person out in that forest poured their heart and soul into the Gympie Music Muster and that’s why it’s so valuable to this community.
To quote Kane from 19 Twenty, If you live in a town with no music, what kind of town is it?
