GRC Budget a disappointment

I’m pretty disappointed with the council’s budget.

As a community we want a fully funded hospital and we want to help those living rough.

Where in the council’s budget is this shown?

Yes council doesn’t fund the hospital but it does control the infrastructure around it.

The hospital doesn’t even have a footpath around it.

Few streets have marked parking and plenty can be done on councils end to rejig the road for more parking.

Why should state spend money or listen to the communities concerns when council won’t even spend coin?

Let’s show them it’s a priority to us and not just up to someone else.

The same can be said for those doing it tough.

Noosa Council has showers in most local toilet blocks.

Most councils have free wifi in local parks to help keep people connected.

We’ve got a distinct lack.

It’s the little things that council can control that they don’t control.

First to complain but last to act.

And yes these (issues) have been raised to those in the hot seat.
