Amused by the Voice Debate

I am amused by the Voice Debate.

It’s all nice and touchy feely to support the Voice.

But one little problem – if the Voice referendum wins then we will have a permanent Voice.

If, in future, it all goes wrong, then will it need another referendum?

And after the Yes vote wins, we have to depend on what our politicians decide and we just have to trust they will do the right thing while they fiddle with details.

Call me a cynic, but in what universe can any thinking member of a democracy trust politicians with a free pass to do the right thing?

I don’t want to be political but the Labor Government are telling us to trust them.

Aren’t they the same government who last election promised a $275 discount on electricity bills and that the Cost of living was their priority?

Politicians spin and lie.

It’s in their DNA.
