How is this a disaster?

The Wide Bay ABC news broadcast of 30 March informed listeners that The Fraser Island rangers had conducted a sweep of Lake McKenzie and had found 180 Bandaids, 19 hair ties and 6 pieces of swimming costumes.

They are now considering to extend this sweep to cover under the lake surface by divers.

When the current world crises include the invasion of the Ukraine by Russia, massive earthquake in Turkey and Syria, floods in Chile, tornadoes in the USA, riots in France, I was wondering on that scale of how this is serious and requires immediate attention?

Who came up with this nonsense?

Where would the Fraser Island disaster be rated?

It sounds as though these people are trying very hard to justify their jobs and not doing a very good job at that.

And do not forget this is all being done using your money.
