Military brotherhood give gifts to kids

Following the Toy Run in Gympie, the Military Brotherhood Military Motorcycle Club (MBMMC) gave Legacy toys to give to the children they support.

The community group run by volunteers were adamant on their desire to make Gympie a better place and despite being primarily a veterans care centre, help anyone in need of which the Toy donation to Legacy is a prime example.

The Club were given a list of children of different ages with a little information about them and they put together two gifts for each child to give them some Christmas joy.

There were a range of toys all packaged up with the younger ones to receive toys such as trucks, dolls and figures whereas many Teenagers are to be given gifts such as gift cards, make-up and vouchers.

The MBMMC had covered their pool table ready with gifts to hand over to Legacy and wish a Merry Christmas to each of the children in need this festive season.

Ivan Friske from Legacy was very appreciative of the MBMMC and the help they give to legacy in supporting the Gympie area.

“This is the generosity of the town, donating to this mob is just so great” said Mr Friske.

“It’s something that we don’t have to spend money on, the money can go towards others to help them too.”

The MBMMC have a veterans care centre in the James Nash Arcade and welcome anyone to drop in on Wednesdays from 10am and also hold a social every Friday from 6pm.
